Empowering change along our entire value chain
We regard sustainability as an imperative along the entire value chain. This involves responsible supply chain management as well as safe and efficient production. Creating innovative, sustainable and profitable surface solutions we help our customers to excel and achieve their sustainability goals.
We adjust and improve sustainability parameters during the procurement of raw materials to improve the sustainability of the end product.
For example, we transparently select suppliers who ensure safe working conditions and environmentally compatible extraction of raw materials. This is a key criterion for a purchasing process which meets sustainability requirements.
An additional approach to responsible sourcing focuses on long-term replacement of critical raw materials by more sustainable alternatives. For example, in 2017, we have globally eliminated lead pigments from our refinish paints.
The health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers and partners is our highest priority. We also work every day to protect the environment.
We commit ourselves to the principles of Responsible Care®. We continuously improve the efficiency of our production plants to save resources.
